HILL STATIONS

India is a land of geographical diversities, ranging from the mighty Himalayas in the north, the Gangetic plain below it to the Deccan Plateau in the southern peninsula. This gives India the advantage of many hill stations, both in the north and south, but the major ones are nestled in the hills of Himachal Pradesh, Uttaranchal and Uttar Pradesh.

These hill stations are best visited in the summer months when the rest of the country is sweltering in the heat and one can enjoy the salubrious climes they offer. Winters have their own charm when one can experience the beauty of the mountains clad in snow.

Hill stations of Uttaranchal and Uttar Pradesh: Almora, Bhimtal, Binsar, Kausani, , Mukteshwar, Nainital, Naukuchiatal, Ranikhet.

Hill stations of Himachal Pradesh: Chamba, Dalhousie, Kasauli, Kullu, Manali, Shimla.
