This trip into Rajasthan is truly an overwhelming experience. As you traverse through Rajasthan, you can feel the warmth and spirit reverberate through not only the landscape but in the gracious smile of a passerby. ‘Khamagani’, say Rajasthani families, welcoming you into their homes and hearts. The journey commences in Delhi. Tour the city and visit the Parliament House, the Red Fort, the India Gate and the Lotus Temple. You then, travel by road to Agra. Your tour of Agra city starts with a visit to the Agra fort, a massive sandstone fortress started by Emperor Akbar in 1565 and completed by his grandson Emperor Shah Jehan. Proceed to Itmad-ud-Daulah, the tomb of Mirza Ghiyas Beg. Your stay in Agra is incomplete without a visit to the stunningly beautiful Taj Mahal, built by Emperor Shah Jehan in memory of his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal.
The next stop is the Pink city of Jaipur. Visit the City Palace, which lies in the heart of the city. The Hawa Mahal is another popular landmark of Jaipur. You head towards Bikaner. You can make a trip to Junagarh Fort and Museum. Also visit the Jain temples, namely the Bhandasar Temple and the Sandeshwar Temple. Your next destination is the citadel city of Jaisalmer. Tour the district covering Jaisalmer Fort – built on the highest point of the Trikuta hill, the Salim Singh-Ki-Haveli & Patwon–Ki-Haveli. A visit to Sam Sand dunes is a must. The ripples on the wind-caressed dunes create enchanting mirages. Adventure freaks can go out on a Camel Safari -getting the real feel of the desert on the camel back. The journey continues as you make your way to Jodhpur. The colossal Meherangarh Fort is a must see. You can also visit the spectacular Umaid Bhawan Palace.
Your trip concludes in the romantic city of Udaipur, better known as the city of lakes. You can visit the City Palace complex. Towering over the Pichola lake, this is the largest palace complex in Rajasthan and is preserved as a museum with a large & varied collection of glass, porcelain figures & miniature paintings. Located only 150 mts from the city palace is the famous Jagdish temple -- which enshrines a black stone image of Lord Vishnu as Jagannath.
