Delhi

Woodville Palace Shimla

This magical journey begins at the capital city of Delhi. You will spend an exciting day touring Old and New Delhi. Some of the main sights are the India Gate, the Red Fort and the Lotus Temple. The next day you travel, by road to Agra. You will visit the splendorous Taj Mahal, which was erected by the great Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan for his beloved. You spend the rest of the afternoon taking in the sights and smells of Agra city. The next destination on your schedule is Jaipur also known as the Pink city. You can visit the Amber Fort, the City Palace and the Hawa Mahal or the Palace Of Winds. Jaipur is best explored on foot and the adventurous visitor willing to go into the inner lanes can discover a whole new world of bustling bazaars and vegetable carts. After this you will drive back to Delhi.

Your journey now takes you away from the hustle and bustle of the cities and into the wonderland that is Himachal. The solitude of Chail is the perfect remedy for reviving your spirits.  After two days in Chail you will proceed to Sangla. At a height of 2,700 mts the Sangla Camp is surrounded by towering mountains on all sides and is set on the banks of the Baspa River that surges through the valley. Long walks to discover the amazing fauna and flora of the valley, treks to view snow covered Himalayan peaks, angling for trout, experiencing some of the local culture and traditions, Para-gliding and river crossing are only some of the delights that are on offer. The Camp is an ideal setting for total relaxation with cozy Swiss-style tents that have attached bathrooms, a well-equipped kitchen and evening bonfires that keep the chill away. Next you travel to Shimla, the former summer capital of the country under the British rule. Here you can visit the Viceregal Lodge and Botanical Gardens as well as the Himachal State Library and Museum. A trip to the Jakkhu temple will help you befriend all the monkeys of Shimla. You drive back to Delhi.
