For six days we explore the three most popular destinations in India, combining the Mughal splendors and bazaars of Delhi with the markets and palaces of Jaipur’s Pink City and Agra’s spectacular Taj Mahal. This magical journey begins at the capital city of Delhi. You will spend an exciting day touring Old and New Delhi. Some of the main sights are the India Gate, the Red Fort and the Lotus Temple. The city is a mosaic of culture, art, architecture, religion, markets, and has all the eccentricities of a multi cultural population. She has offerings for all generations, whether to tickle the senses, or the muses, or just the taste buds!
The next day you travel, by road to Agra. You will visit the splendorous Taj Mahal, which was erected by the great Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan for his beloved. You can also visit the impressive Agra Fort and the tomb site Itmad-ud-Daulah. You spend the rest of the afternoon taking in the sights and smells of Agra city. The next destination on your schedule is Jaipur also known as the Pink city. The city was conceived and designed in 1727 AD by the Rajput king Sawai Jai Singh and was later named after him. You can visit the Amber Fort, the City Palace and the Hawa Mahal or the Palace Of Winds.The city looks almost magical at sunset when the sunrays paint different hues of pink on the walls. Jaipur is best explored on foot and the adventurous visitor willing to go into the inner lanes can discover a whole new world of bustling bazaars and vegetable carts. After this you will drive back to Delhi.
